Endless straps with cam buckles are usually for light duty applications and are easier to secure cargo with than ratchet straps. The tightening mechanism of a cam buckle lessens the chance of damaging cargo. Endless straps wrap the strap around the cargo then feed the webbing back through the assembly. A small spring inside the cam buckle causes the tension and the buckles teeth latch into the webbing to keep it from moving. This quick and easy method makes cam buckle tie downs popular for use as motorcycle tie downs, wheel nets, and other motorsports uses. Cam buckle straps are also called cam straps, cambuckle straps, or cambuckle tie downs.
